Does your company provide you with opportunities to stay healthy and active during Ramadan?
The 2019 Corporate Sports Ramadan Tournament came to a spectacular end on Saturday the 25th of May when the Emirates Basketball team and the du “Falcons” Football team emerged victorious from the finals, beating tough competition in Aramex and Chalhoub respectfully, to claim the tournament’s top prizes.
Encouraging companies to maintain their fitness levels by staying active during Ramadan, the first annual Corporate Sports Ramadan Tournament got underway on May 8 and saw 10 basketball and 13 football teams battle it out during night-time matches for the chance to win some amazing prizes.
The tournament celebrates the UAE Year of Tolerance by uniting a collection of diverse industries, companies, and nationalities in the spirit of friendly competition. The annual event is set to become an integral part of the sports calendar in the UAE with its positive impact on corporate performance, engagement and morale.
With fantastic cash prizes, the tournament offers for each of the two sports a top prize of 12,000AED with runners-up taking home 8,000AED, and second runners-up winning 4,000AED. There are also trophies for the Most Valuable Player in each sport.
